After buying over a dozen sports bras, I finally realized what kind of bra is truly worth keeping.

Last week, while doing laundry, I found a sports bra I bought almost two years ago in the dryer.

To be honest, I didn't even expect it to still be there.

After all, I've bought so many sportswear over the years.

Some were ordered late at night while scrolling through my phone.

Some were recommended by friends.

Some are simply because the model photos are too beautiful.

In the end, what truly remains are not the most expensive items from the beginning.

I held that old bra in my hand and looked at it for a long time.

The edges are a bit worn.

The label has also faded to white.

Yet strangely, it's still the one I wear most often.

At that moment, I suddenly realized something:

For most women, a good set of women's activewear might not be the trendiest outfit at all,

but the outfit you always instinctively reach for.

Three years ago, I only bought sportswear based on its appearance.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of funny.

That was when I first started working out.

I tried a few new sports brands almost every week.

Every day on social media, I always see beautiful girls wearing new leggings and sports bras.

Sunlight.

Abs.

Iced Americano.

And hair that never gets messy.

After seeing too much, it's easy to develop a false impression.

As if buying the same clothes would make you become that person too.

What is the reality of the outcome?

The reality was that the first time I wore it to the gym, I noticed the straps kept slipping down.

Adjust when doing deadlifts.

Adjust when doing the press.

Even drinking water requires adjustment.

The greatest reward after training isn't how far you've progressed, but finally being able to take off your clothes.

That feeling was really disappointing.

Because you'll realize that what's in the photo is completely different from real life.

My requirements for sports bras have actually become simpler and simpler.

I used to think the more features, the better.

What high support.

What a sculptural feel.

What is shaping technology.

Nowadays, people are becoming increasingly practical.

Comfortable.

Stable.

Durable.

That's about it—just these three requirements.

Especially comfortable.

Many girls might understand that feeling.

Sometimes working a full day is exhausting enough.

If your workout clothes are still pinching, restricting, or chafing you, it's truly annoying.

I have a sports bra like that.

It looked especially beautiful when I first bought it.

But every time I wear it for more than two hours, my shoulders start to ache.

Later, I simply shoved it to the very back of the drawer.

I didn't see it again until I moved last year.

The label is still new.

Because I haven't worn it much.

What truly changed my shopping habits was a weekend hike.

The weather was especially nice that day.

I had made plans with a friend to go hiking on a mountain trail.

Because I left so early, I almost blindly grabbed a tracksuit from the closet and headed out.

That day, I walked for nearly six hours.

From the foot of the mountain to the summit.

We also sat on a rock for lunch halfway through the hike.

After I got home, while taking a shower, I suddenly realized.

I didn't even notice what I was wearing for an entire day.

The shoulder strap has not been adjusted.

The waistband never bothered me.

I didn't feel bored.

There was no place rubbed red either.

This kind of thing sounds very ordinary.

But those who have experienced it know how rare it is.

Because most of the time, clothes that are hard to wear constantly remind you of their presence.

Comfortable clothes tend to disappear.

Later, I specifically went to check out the brand of that outfit.

That was the first time I noticed styles like duskyonder, which lean toward minimalist design.

No particularly exaggerated colors.

No overwhelming logos.

But many details become apparent only when you wear it.

Why are more and more people starting to wear activewear as everyday clothing?

The reason is actually quite simple.

Because life has changed.

Many of my friends around me have similar daily routines these days.

I went out in the morning to buy coffee.

Processing work.

Take time to exercise at noon.

Go to the supermarket or take a walk in the evening.

Few people bring a full change of clothes specifically for working out.

So people are increasingly concerned about whether their clothes can seamlessly fit into their daily lives.

This is also the point I later valued most when buying women's activewear.

I hope it can stay with me for the entire afternoon.

Rather than just suitable for the forty-five minutes in the gym.

Some clothes make you feel especially like going home when you wear them.

This is true.

I wonder if others have had this experience.

Anyway, I have it.

Especially in summer.

Problems are most likely to surface when the weather is hot.

Non-breathable fabric sticks to the back.

The waistband will start to curl.

The fabric becomes stiff after drying.

The whole person becomes irritable.

Once, my friend and I were browsing at an outdoor market.

I had only been walking for half an hour when I started regretting wearing that tracksuit.

A friend is looking at handmade jewelry.

I'm wondering when I can go home to change clothes.

Since then, I have started paying serious attention to fabrics.

Because comfort really affects your mood for the entire day.

I'm not really paying attention to fashion trends anymore.

I used to want to buy every new product as soon as it came out.

Now I'm actually much calmer.

Because I realized that the ones I actually wear most often are always just a few pieces.

They may not have the most striking color.

There is no most extravagant design.

Yet it always brings a sense of comfort.

Like the coffee shop I go to every morning.

Like a baseball cap worn down with use.

Like that hoodie in the closet, washed many times but never thrown away.

Good activewear is no different.

It won't amaze you for five minutes.

But it will make you much more comfortable for many years.

And for me, this is more appealing than any trend.

So next time I buy a sports bra or leggings, I won't first check how pretty the photos look.

I'll start by asking myself a question.

If I were to go out spontaneously on Saturday morning, which piece of clothing would I most want to wear?

Usually, by the time the answer appears, the choice has already been made.
