Cherry red for an evening out
For an early supper or an evening exhibition, wear a glossy cherry-red zip-front blouson over a plain white scoop-neck tank, with the black-and-white Dualis Horizon Leggings, black low-heeled leather mules and a small black leather shoulder bag. Keep the jacket plain and roomy through the sleeves, with a softly gathered hem skimming the waist. A lightly glossy nylon gives the red a lively surface as the fabric folds.
There is a useful reference in Lacoste’s Fall–Winter 2026 collection: a deep-red, glossy sports blouson worn with fluid red trousers. The broad sleeves and reflected light make that single-color look feel rich. Our version borrows the looseness and shine, then brings in the crisp contrast of black and white.
Leave the jacket open and tuck the tank into the leggings. The white tank creates a clear strip between the red fronts, meeting Horizon’s broad white waistband. Below it, the curved contrast follows an asymmetrical path across the two legs, giving the outfit a more unexpected line than a conventional striped tracksuit. The rounded jacket sleeves add volume around this close-fitting base.
The mules change the mood of the sports pieces. A low heel and a simple squared toe give the outfit a dressier finish, while the open back leaves some skin visible below the full-length leggings. Smooth black leather picks up a little light, echoing the jacket’s sheen in a darker material. Carry the compact shoulder bag high under the arm, leaving the waistband and upper-leg design in view.
There is a pleasing informality to this combination for someone who likes dressing up around familiar sportswear. The red has a generous presence across the shoulders and sleeves, while the white tank interrupts it at the center. The shoes make the evening intention clear.

Butter yellow, a white collar and black flats
For the second outfit, keep the Horizon leggings and add a butter-yellow coach jacket, a white button-down shirt, pointed black slingback flats and a structured black handbag. The jacket should have a boxy body and a simple shirt-style collar. Here, a softly crinkled fabric is more interesting than a perfectly flat surface: folds create gentle shadows across the pale yellow.
Prada’s Spring/Summer 2026 runway offers a striking yellow-jacket reference. Look 32 pairs a vivid yellow coach jacket with a tan shirt, a dark bubble skirt and pointed slingbacks. We take the jacket’s easy shape and the pointed shoe, soften the yellow, and replace the skirt’s volume with a narrow graphic leg.
Button the white shirt through the body, leaving the neckline relaxed, and wear the yellow jacket open. Let the shirt hem extend a little below the jacket and turn its cuffs back over the sleeves. White appears at the collar, wrists and hem, spreading light across the upper half of the outfit. The waistband can sit beneath the shirt; the leggings’ visible side and lower-leg contrast carry that light color downward.
Butter yellow and white sit close enough in brightness to make a broad, luminous upper layer. The black areas of the leggings, the pointed shoes and the handbag give it definition. Those sharper accessories also bring a little formality to the easy coach-jacket shape. For an afternoon of bookshops and cafés, it feels thoughtful, slightly preppy and pleasantly unhurried.
